Head Coach: Frankie Russo
Frankie rowed at the Newport Aquatic Center in Newport Beach, CA. Following this, he rowed four years at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. His favorite rowing memory is placing 5th at Youth Nationals in the Men's Lightweight 8+ during his senior year of high school. He is now attending graduate school at FSU in Criminal Justice and is excited to take this team to the next level!
Men's Novice Coach: Graham Aplin
Graham is a student at FSU and began rowing with FSU crew in 2006. He started his coaching career last fall as the Men's Novice Coach at FSU, where his men left every regatta with a medal. The Men's Lightweight 4+raced at ACRA and placed 4th under his direction. Graham is looking forward to his second year of coaching and plans to build on the successes from last year!
Women's Novice Coach: Madison Grant
Madison is a graduate of FSU with a B.S. in Biology. She began rowing in 8th grade with her school's team in Tallahassee, FL. She continued rowing there for four years and rowed at FSU all four years during undergrad. Her favorite rowing memory is racing at Dad Vail and placing fifth in Grand Finals with her WV4+. Madison has her US Rowing Level 1 Coaching Certificate and is excited for her first year of coaching at FSU!
FSU Crew is a Sport-Club at The Florida State University meaning we are not a fully funded sports team. The team receives a modest amount of money from the Student Government Association, which helps basic expenses. The sport of rowing is very expensive and year after year we are hard-pressed with fees. Between updating equipment, purchasing new equipment, regatta entry fees, travel and apparel expenses we rely heavily on donors and fundraising.
FSU Crew's main fundraisers are Parent and Alumni Weekend and working Aramark Concession Stands at FSU Baseball games. We would like to thank our crew members for the long hours working on their feet amongst their other responsibilities and our very generous donors of families and companies.

The team is student-run by the executive board. The board is responsible for all decisions made regarding the team's safety, budgeting, coaching staff, regatta appearance, etc. The 2012-2013 board is made up of experienced rowers who have been voted upon by the team. They are dedicated to their positions and make informed decisions to best represent the team as a whole.
